What we collect and why
| What | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Your email address | To suppress it — stopping our marketing to it and excluding it from future exports to our customers — and to continue to respect your opt-out if we see it again from another source | Indefinitely — it is the only way to keep the promise |
| Your name, business/organisation name and any note (all optional) | To find and match your record, and to keep an accurate account of your request | Indefinitely, with the request record |
| Your IP address, browser and referring page | To detect and stop abuse of this form | 90 days, then automatically deleted |
Our lawful bases
- Legal obligation for keeping your address on the suppression list: we are required to honour your objection, and a suppression list is how that is done in practice.
- Legitimate interests for the IP address and browser details: keeping this form working and preventing someone using it to remove other people maliciously. We have balanced this against your interests and keep the data for the shortest period that serves the purpose.
Automated checks
Submissions pass through automated abuse checks, including a Cloudflare Turnstile challenge. A request that looks automated is held for a person to review rather than refused — no automated decision on this form can result in your request being rejected. If a check flags your request, it is reviewed by a human, normally within one working day.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify or erase your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email compliance@wren-data.co.uk.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/ or on 0303 123 1113, at any time.
