Remove my contact details from Wren Data
We respect your choice
We want our data to be useful, never unwelcome. If you do not want to hear from Wren Data or have your contact details included in our marketing data, let us know below.
There are no questions to answer and you do not need to give us a reason. We will simply opt you out.
What we’ll do
- We will stop sending you marketing emails from Wren Data.
- We will remove your matched contact details from future marketing data supplied by Wren Data.
- We will make your opt-out available to our customers so they can suppress details they previously received from us.
We normally update our own systems within 24 hours. Our customers are required to check our suppression service before using Wren Data for marketing and at least once every 30 days.
Your rights
- To object to direct marketing (UK GDPR Article 21). This right is absolute. You do not have to give a reason and we cannot refuse. That is what this form is for.
- To stop electronic marketing (PECR regulation 22). We must stop sending marketing email once you tell us to. That is what this form is for.
- To erasure (Article 17). We already erase your data entirely instead of just suppressing it, but we retain limited information on a suppression list (your email address) so that we can continue to respect your opt-out. That is what this form is for.
More information about your opt-out
We retain limited identifying information on our suppression list so that we can recognise your details and continue to respect your opt-out. Your suppressed details will not be included in future Wren Data exports intended for direct marketing.
Our customers are contractually required to check the Wren Data suppression service before conducting direct marketing and at least once every 30 days. They must remove or suppress any matching contact details they previously received from us.
A customer may hold the same details from another source. Wren Data cannot remove independently sourced information from a customer’s systems, but you may object to that customer’s use of your personal data for direct marketing by contacting them directly.
Your request applies to the personal contact details we can match to you. It does not automatically remove the business itself or non-personal company information from business directories.
We will not email you about this request except if we need more information to identify the correct record — any such message will relate solely to your opt-out, never to marketing.
How we use the information on this form
We record your email address, anything else you type here, and the IP address the request came from. The IP address is used only to detect abuse of this form — our legitimate interest in keeping it working — and is deleted after 90 days. Your email address is kept on the suppression list indefinitely, because that is the only way to continue to respect your opt-out.
Our full privacy policy explains where we source data from, who else receives it, how long we keep it, our lawful basis for processing it, and your right to object in full.
